DIY Sharpie Personalized Mug Gift

personalized mugs with teacher's initials make a thoughtful DIY teacher gift idea

I’ve seen wild scribble versions of the sharpie mug, but this teacher gift version is so sweet with its alphabet themed personalization. If your kids are able to write, it could be even sweeter to let them write some or all of the phrase!

Crockpot Caramel Apple Butter

jars of caramel apple butter labeled to give as gifts, and arranged on a table

Sometimes homemade food gifts aren’t the best ones to give – it’s sad but we live in a world where people do crazy things and if you don’t know someone really well, store-bought treats might be the best way to give them something you know for sure they will eat. That said – if you happen to know a teacher well enough that they would eat something homemade from you, this crockpot caramel apple butter looks downright drool worthy!

I thought handmade soap sounded like a sort of ridiculous thing to give as a gift – until someone gave me a delightful bar of specialty soap as a gift! This DIY teacher gift is beautiful, totally useful (who doesn’t use soap?!), and you can make it smell AMAZING!

Highlight Pun Teacher Gift

DIY teacher gift of highlighters with a note that reads "you are the highlight of my school day!"

So this isn’t teacher gift idea isn’t exactly homemade, but it’s super affordable and still requires enough assembly to make this list. ? Print out a cute little tag with a highlighter pun (I actually think I prefer the phrase “You were the highlight of my year”, for what it’s worth) and use washiest tape or some cute twine to attach it to the package!
