Whether you’re hosting Thanksgiving, bringing a dish to a gathering, or traveling to see family, you’re going to have a few things to do! Sometimes our kids play great, and sometimes they need a little direction… it always seems like whenever I’m a wee bit stressed out, they need the most direction, ha!
This year while I’m doing Thanksgiving prep, I plan on having a steady lineup of Thanksgiving themed coloring pages to offer the kids. We all find coloring to be a relaxing activity, and that means they won’t be bouncing off the walls in anticipation of all the Thanksgiving treats!
My plan is to display their finished Thanksgiving coloring pages in the dining room for all to see. It makes a great conversation starter and all of the friends and family who come to the house will love “oooo” and “ahhhh”-ing over their masterpieces. I’ll even save a few extras for the cousins to color and hang those up too!

It’s festive, it’s simple, and it’s a free printable.. what more could a busy mama want?! Bonus, older kids can help younger kids practice their “f” sounds and with minimal direction from mom, set out on an “f” scavenger hunt! Just remind them not to make any messes if you’re hosting 😉.

You can always count on Crayola to have something related to coloring! This cornucopia is a fun, simple coloring page printable. Plus, you can introduce your kids to the word “cornucopia!” If you get to this coloring page earlier in the week, you could assemble an actual cornucopia with your kids and display it as a Thanksgiving table centerpiece.

“Hello, Autumn” Pretty Coloring Page
This one looks so lovely, I think I might have to color one too! Maybe I’ll take a few minutes before Thanksgiving dinner to relax and color this with the kids (keep dreaming, Buzzy!). Whenever I do get around to printing and coloring this beautiful coloring page, I am planning on using colored pencils for the kids and myself – this might be frustrating with crayons!

Printable Thanksgiving Coloring Page Placemats
If you don’t have a printer that goes bigger than 8.5×11″ paper, you might need to send these to the print shop, but these printable Thanksgiving placemats are SO lovely that it’ll be worth the drive over there to pick them up! What a fun idea to color placemats for everyone at the table– you can do it before guests arrive or everyone can work on them at the table together before food is served! I’m hoping all of the kids attending Thanksgiving with us this year will get to color them together and use them for dinner.
