Let’s start things off with some time outdoors…
Homemade Sidewalk Chalk!
It’s chalk. THAT YOU MAKE! Seriously folks THIS is where science meets play – what a great STEAM activity for kids!
DIY Sidewalk Chalk Paint
For a totally different chalk experience, try homemade chalk PAINT! This isn’t chalkboard paint – it won’t turn anything into a chalkboard. It’s also not the type of chalk paint people use on their cabinets/furniture. It’s a simple & easy recipe for what is essentially LIQUID sidewalk chalk! Bonus – it’s a slightly less-intense process than the Homemade Sidewalk Chalk above.
Wooden Easter Egg Painting Activity
It’s that time of year, Easter is a spring holiday! These hollow wooden eggs are sure to become a treasured favorite over the years. I’m considering making it a tradition for every kid to paint one wooden Easter egg per year, that way we can see how their art skills develop as we grow our non-plastic Easter egg collection.
Caterpillar Do-A-Dot Marker Activity
Keepin’ it real with a lil’ math activity! It’s caterpillars. And it uses those incredibly fun dot paint pens. The toddler or preschooler in your life is going to have so much fun practicing their counting skills with you – in a fun, spring themed caterpillar printable!
Spring Bunnies Pom-Pom Craft
To quote Despicable Me, “It’s SO FLUFFY I’m gonna DIE!!!” I can’t decide if I want to make this spring craft WITH my kids, or make them in secret and give them to my kids as a fun surprise! All I know is.. someone here is making these cute pom-pom bunnies ASAP.
Lovely Paper Flower Craft For Kids
- I’d love a bouquet of paper flowers.
- I’m sending this activity to my husband AND my mom, so that maybe one of them will make this sweet paper spring flowers craft with my kids and then I’ll get a bouquet of paper flowers!
Beaded Pipe Cleaner Flowers
More flowers! Because, what would spring be without FLOWERS?! If you combine this spring craft and the paper flower spring craft above, just imagine what a beautiful bouquet you could display!
Mind-Blowingly Simple Cherry Blossom Craft Art
I’m making this beautiful, simple craft with the kids ASAP! Them I’ll be framing one because oh my goodness, it is beautiful! The others I’m sending to relatives who live in an area with cherry blossom trees because they will definitely appreciate it.
How To Press Flowers
Why not press some real flowers to solidify the flower theme? Spring is full of blooms.. just keep your eyes peeled! I used to think I needed a fancy flower press to do the work, but turns out, a book works just as well. This is a spring craft for kids and grown ups alike!
